The most important part of going to a university is how nice are the dorms. Are they new, are the suite or hall style, all of these questions weigh on a person's mind. Alabama has been building new dorms like crazy, recently finishing a pair of all suite style dorm building called the Presidential Village. With these new buildings completed, a large number of dorms at Alabama are suite style, including all of the Ridgecrest buildings, all of the Lakeside buildings, and the whole Presidential Village. By contrast, only the South Donahue and Village dorms at Auburn are configured as suite style living.
LIVING AND DORMS
If you want a huge Greek scene, Alabama schools are the choice for you, with the University of Alabama being the cream of the crop over Auburn. 26% of Men at Alabama are in Fraternities, compared to the 24% of Auburn, and 40% of Women are in Sororities, compared to the 38% of Auburn. These are very large numbers, but Alabama has the larger ones. This helps them have a bigger social scene, and more exciting social life outside of classes.
